Everything Weather Mobile App

The EverythingWeather app is designed as a mobile weather app that delivers forecast data directly from the National Weather Service, ensuring it's intuitive and easy to understand. In the app, you can access the following features:

Home Screen

- Localized forecast data for every location within the United States and its territories (hourly and weekly)

- Current conditions from the nearest reliable weather station

- Current and 10-day history of decoded and raw METARs

- NOAA weather information through NWS Forecast discussion

- Storm Prediction Center (SPC) and Weather Prediction Center (WPC) outlooks for your forecast location

- Active hazards for your forecast location

- Sunrise/sunset and Moonrise/moonset data

- Customize the homepage to display the weather data you want to see

- Easily save a location to your Favorites

- NWS Weather Stories featuring images created by each NWS office covering the important topics of the day

- Access to various NWS Products such as the Climate Report, Local Storm Reports, Public Information Statements, and much more (customize the products you want on the home page in the Settings tab)

Favorites

- Quickly view your list of favorite locations you have saved and a quick look at any active watch/warning/outlook products in effect.

- Save custom names for your favorite locations and reorder them as you wish.

Detailed

- Weekly summary presented in bar graph form.

- Select any day for a detailed look at that day's forecast, including hourly charts and a thorough summary of what to expect.

- Hourly charts encompass: Temperature, Dewpoint, Relative Humidity, Feels Like Temperature, Sustained Winds, Wind Gusts, Cloud Cover, Precipitation Chance, and Precipitation Amount.

Radar

- MRMS composite radar

- GOES East and West IR satellite

- NWS Convective Watches, Warnings, and Special Weather Statements

- SPC Outlook data

- SPC Mesoscale Discussions

- SPC Fire Weather Outlook

- Storm Reports

- WPC Outlook data

- Detailed QPF forecasts

- Tropical Weather Outlooks

- Tropical Forecast Tracks/Cone (including Tropical Watches and Warnings, surface wind field, forecast wind radii, arrival time of TS winds (most likely and earliest reasonable), probabilistic winds, and peak storm surge)

- Plot your favorites on the map to easily see conditions at all locations

Notifications

- Add up to 3 locations to receive real-time weather alerts for free

- Receive notifications for new AFDs for an unlimited number of NWS offices

EverythingWeather Pro

Due to significant interest and support for EverythingWeather, I have now exceeded the free thresholds for many third-party services that provide weather data featured in the app. To maintain and enhance the quality of the app (adding features like widgets and lightning data), I have launched EverythingWeather Pro to help fund these services. All primary NOAA weather information will always remain free. Here’s what the Pro subscription currently offers:

- Several GOES East and West satellite products, including Vis/IR sandwich, Natural Color, Night IR, Night Microphysics, Day Cloud Type, Snow-Fog, Day Land Cloud Fire, Fire Temperature, Smoke ABI, Volcanic Ash, Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Dust. [3 hour loop]

- Level 2 radar data, which offers much higher temporal and spatial resolution than the composite radar (though it is not the raw data) using WMS tiles. This also includes Super Res Base Velocity, Digital Hydrometeor Classification, One Hour Accumulated Rainfall, and Storm Total Accumulated Rainfall. [Note: At this time, you are not able to sample the data, but I plan on adding that in the future!]

- PROB Severe data, including all the data for the current time and the past 2 hours.

- Add up to 8 locations to receive weather alert push notifications

- Save an unlimited number of favorite locations.

- Use modern animated icons for the forecast sections in addition to the current conditions.

- Setup lightning alert notifications (coming soon!)

Note: This app is created and maintained by just myself in my free time, so there may be some bugs or issues you encounter. If you do, please send me a message, and I'll do my best to resolve it as quickly as possible!
